Private Yoga Sessions
A private yoga session is a wonderful way to take your yoga practice to a new level. What may take months in a class environment can be accomplished in just a few hours in a one on one setting. You will dramatically improve your alignment and awareness, bringing greater strength, flexibility and ease to your practice. Some individuals have needs that are not met by group classes. In a private class we can design a practice that works for you. If you are pregnant or recovering from an injury you can also learn modifications that will support your unique circumstance. Whether you are new to yoga and looking to learn the basics without the pressure of a class setting, or you are a continuing student desiring a breakthrough, your session will be customized to fit your individual needs, goals, and intentions.
New to Yoga
If you are new to yoga, private sessions are an excellent way to begin your own yoga practice. You can develop your confidence by learning the fundamentals of yoga at your own pace. Ask questions when you like, take your time learning the poses, rest when you need to, and receive the individualized attention that you may not feel comfortable asking for in a group setting. Even a few private lessons can prepare you to safely and easefully join group classes.
For those of you that already have a regular yoga practice, a one on one session can help to gain new insights in the areas where you feel limited or stuck. With personalized attention you can explore more difficult poses, receive detailed alignment instruction and hands on adjustments. We can work together on your specific areas of interest including alignment, pranayama, meditation, and the psychological or philosophical aspects of yoga.
New and experienced yoga teachers who are looking to refine their skills and expand their impact as a teacher often benefit from one on one coaching. This is a great way to get some honest feedback, ask any questions that you have and even get support for personal issues that might be coming up for you around your practice or teaching. Mentoring relationships usually involve several one on one in person meetings or phone sessions and either in class or video observation. Together we will explore areas of strength and areas where there is room to grow.
If your busy schedule makes it challenging for you to attend regular classes, you might enjoy the flexibility that a private class provides.
Sessions can be one-on-one, or semi-private, if you wish to share the instruction with another person or small group.
Cost is $108 per hour, or three one-hour sessions for $300.
Sliding scale options are available. Please discuss any financial concerns before your appointment and I will do my best to make your private yoga lesson affordable for you.
