Rest & Replenish

Women's Winter Yoga Series

Tuesdays Dec 2- Dec 16, 2014

While nature is in her resting season, quiet and withdrawn, many of us find ourselves more frenetic than ever. Between holiday shopping and cooking, work, school events and social engagements, we almost don’t seem to notice that the cold temperatures and darker nights of winter are encouraging us to slow down and go within.

Women’s yoga can help us to find calm in the chaos. With gentle asana, pranayama, mediation and group practices we will explore our addiction to busyness and strengthen our capacity to surrender to the slower energy of the season. When we allow for a natural drawing in during this time, it will create the space for something new to be born.

For three weeks in December, we will dive deep into the heart of Women’s Yoga. Honoring the darkness and cultivating deep nourishment, we will support one another to take our self-care to a whole new level.

If you have been feeling overwhelmed in your life and are longing for deep rest and more connection in your life, please join our incredible women’s community.

Descent to Grace

Reclaiming the Dark Feminine

Fall Women’s Yoga Intensive:

Embodying Kali, Dhumavati & Chinnamasta

Sept 2, 2015 - Dec 2, 2015

As we leave behind the fullness of summer and transition into colder temperatures and longer, darker nights, we enter the time of the Dark Goddesses. Though they may seem gruesome and terrifying on the outside, they represent aspects of us that are incredibly powerful, wild and deep.

When we embody the Shakti of the Dark Goddesses, we free up energy that we may have unconsciously pushed away and denied. We gain access to more of our vitality, passion and purpose. The outwardly frightening goddesses give us the opportunity to find the sacred in the midst of the unimaginable. They help us to see the gifts that often lie just beneath our greatest wounds and uncover the heartbreaking wisdom that comes from life’s most challenging moments.

The feminine heart thrives on the dark and the light, the wild and the serene, the loving and the loss. When we reclaim and even celebrate all of the dark and forgotten corners of the world, and ourselves we find wholeness.

Exploring the myths and metaphors of these archetypes in a group of women can be genuinely nourishing, rejuvenating and empowering through this powerful time of transition.

We will meet in person twice a month for 7 live classes.

Wednesdays 9:00-10:30am

Sept 2 & 9, KALI

Sept 30 & Oct 7, DHUMAVATI

Oct 28 & Nov 4, CHINNAMASTA

Dec 2, INTEGRATION

During the two weeks between each goddess, you will be encouraged to maintain a steady home practice. A personal Devi Sadhana practice will help you to dive deeper into the teachings. We will stay connected through online support and weekly emails.

Due to the depth and potency of this work we are asking that everyone commit to the full series. It is our intention to hold a steady and supportive container to dive deep into these practices together.  Space is limited, so please register early to hold your place.

It is recommended that you have already taken a series, workshop or training with Kirsten and are familiar with Devi Yoga. If you are new to the Devi Kula, please contact Raquel for an application. (Raquel.Scianna@gmail.com)

India: Chaos & Grace

Women's Yoga Retreat in Rishikesh, India

with Kirsten warner & Katie Wise

November 5-14

India can be as heartbreaking as it is beautiful. One of our intentions is to support one another in keeping our eyes and hearts open to all of it. When we stop turning away from the suffering in the world we will often be more inspired to help make real change.  Every moment is another opportunity to experience the wild and authentic chaos of the conditional realm, all pulsing perfectly within the breath of the infinite.

Join us for this 11-day journey of spiritual discovery & women’s community.

Yoga, Kirtan & Connection

This is a retreat for women who are ready to take their practice to the next level. For real.

We will spend several hours a day immersed in meditation, chanting, yoga and powerful women’s practices. We will explore the myths, study the iconography and most importantly do the practices specifically designed to awaken and embody the energies of several of the goddesses of yoga. Riding the endless waves of grace flooding through the sacred hills of Northern India, we will let go of our resistance, release old habits and surrender to the sacred.

Be prepared to free blocked energy in your body, share your voice, and peel away the layers to allow your true self to shine.

Due to the potential intensity of this program, we request that only participants in strong physical, mental and emotional health attend.
